Wanda is originally from Wisconsin where she received her paralegal degree. She also has a background in business management and human resources. She moved to Northern Virginia, and later received her veterinary technology degree in 2007. She is currently preparing to sit for the boards to become a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager. She started working at Springfield Animal Hospital in July 2000 as a receptionist, and was promoted to Hospital Administrator in December 2001.
She enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 dogs, Cheyenne and Shawnee, 6 cats, Bianca, Boomer, Buster Morris, Gotham, Little, and Monster.
In her free time she enjoys listening to music, reading, decorating, image consulting, Shaolin Kempo and relaxing on the beach. |

Brittany is a Virginia native and attends George Mason University. She is majoring in marketing with a minor in administration of justice. She enjoys spending time with her brother, and their 3 dogs, Roxy (Doberman), Marley (Beagle) and Bailey (Doberman). Brittany is a sports enthusiast and loves being outdoors. She excels at soccer, basketball, volleyball, and snowboarding. Brittany has a great love of animals and enjoys working with them and their humans. |

Lara has been with us for over a year. She loves animals and is thrilled to be working with and caring for them every day. She has 2 dachshunds named Abby and Dell who keep her on her toes. She enjoys singing and acting, and spending time with her fiance. Lara currently attends Northern Virginia Community College. She will be transferring to George Mason University where she will study theater to become a singer/actress.

Sarah loves her work in the kennel and keeping the animals happy, comfortable, and healthy. She is 21 years-old, and her dream is to become a veterinary technician. She has several pets including a dog and six rats. Sarah enjoys drawing, reading, horror movies, and going on road trips with her fiancé. She is a firm believer in adopting unwanted pets from shelters and rescue organizations. She also admires people who make the decision to rescue a pet. |

Whitney is a student at Friends University in Wichita, Kansas. She is double majoring in zoo science and ballet. She has lived in Washington State, Rhode Island, Germany and Japan. She loves working at Springfield Animal Hospital. Whitney credits her experiences at the hospital for furthering her passion for animals and applying that passion into her future career. |

Melissa has been a receptionist at Springfield Animal Hospital since March 2007. She plans to go back to school, but is currently undecided about a major. She was born in Texas and raised in Virginia. She has two wonderful, fat and happy cats named Molly and Sophie. She enjoys going to concerts, relaxing, traveling and being around her friends. |

Sophia is an independent 21 year-old living in Burke, Virginia. She came to Springfield Animal Hospital in August 2007, drawn here by her love of animals. She attends George Mason University and is majoring in global affairs with a minor in anthropology. She enjoys knitting, crocheting and the great outdoors; she also enjoys spending time with friends and playing with her twlo beautiful Persian cats, Flick and Stitch. |

Andrea is a student at George Mason University and will graduate in 2008 with a bachelor degree in French language studies. She lives in Alexandria with her Labrador, Butler, and Maine Coon, Arthur. She has worked at Springfield Animal Hospital since 2001 and truly enjoys her job as a veterinary assistant. Andrea loves to travel and her long-term goal is to combine her interest in world affairs with her love of animals. |

Arianne |
Arianne, an Alexandria native, has worked at Springfield Animal Hospital since February 2004. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, two dogs, three cats, two ferrets, and two turtles. She also volunteers with animal rescue groups. She plans to continue her education and venture into the veterinary technology program at NVCC. |

Ashley is a full-time student at Northern Virginia Community College contemplating a future in veterinary medicine. Growing up as an Army Brat she lived in many places including Hawaii and Korea. She enjoys spending time with her new puppy, “Eeyor”. She also enjoys traveling, going on outdoor adventures, and spending time with family and friends. |

Holly is a 23 year-old Arlington native. She has a cattle dog, "Dahlila", a Chinese pug, "Tahlula", and enjoys riding a horse named Henry. She has been in the veterinary field for 5 years as a receptionist and veterinary assistant. She is currently pursuing a veterinary technology degree with Cedar Valley College. She enjoys playing with her pups, horseback riding, and spending time with family and friends. |

Laurie is a technician manager at Springfield Animal Hospital. She graduated from Wilson College with a bachelor degree in Veterinary Medical Technology. Professionally, her special interests are in anesthesia and behavior. As part of her graduation requirements, she completed an internship with a board certified surgeon to further her knowledge of handling high-risk anesthesia cases. Her home is ruled by a toy poodle mix named Dolly, two rabbits named Murry and Penny, and a feisty guinea pig named Bessie. In her free time she enjoys playing with her animals, reading, horseback riding, hiking and spending as much time at the beach as possible. |

Marcy

Marcy is a proud mother of four children, Steven, Amy, Summer and Angel, a Siberian Dwarf hamster. She moved into the Northern Virginia area 18 years ago after living in Iwakuni, Japan for three and a half years. She graduated from Hayfield Secondary School in 1992. Marcy loves to travel and she enjoys reading, and exploring the great outdoors. |
