Appointment Policy
To allow sufficient time for office appointments and scheduled anesthetic and surgical procedures, we operate by appointment only. Emergency cases and critical care cases occasionally occur which is why an appointment delay is possible. Please realize that will make a sincere attempt to see each patient in a timely manner and keep you informed of any anticipated emergency/ critical care delays. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
Patient Arrival Policy
For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms.
All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.
For your convenience, 'drop-off' appointments are available during the week. A 'drop off' appointment allows you to drop off your pet at a time that is convenient for you. We ask that you please call ahead, fill out a patient history form at the hospital, and drop off as early as possible in the morning so that one of our staff doctors can examine the patient between appointments or at the 'drop off' time reserved for those patients. Once the staff doctor has completed the physical exam, they will call you and discuss the diagnostic and treatment options.
For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all 'core' vaccinations be up to date. Core vaccines are mandated by the Commonwealth of Virginia and/or the AAHA. A list of the required core vaccines for each species is available from any staff member. We make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during their visits but they may be a little uneasy around new people/ pets and new surroundings. For these reasons, we please request that all pets be leashed or kenneled while in the waiting room. Complimentary leashes are available from any staff member.
Payment Policy
We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, CareCredit, cash and personal checks. Thank you!
